Wanda Cinema box office increased by 23.3% yoy in January 2017
Wanda’s box office increased by 23.3% yoy to RMB830m in Jan-2017 from RMB670m in Jan-2016 vs. total China box office growth of 27%, mainly due to fast installation of new screens and increasing movie viewers in Jan-2017 (+16.2% yoy).
Number of movie viewers increased by 16.2% yoy
The number of movie viewers to Wanda increased by 16.2% yoy to 19.3m in Jan-2017 vs. 16.6m in Jan-2016.
Number of theaters increased to 404 and screens to 3,573
Number of Wanda’s theater increased to 404 (from 300 theaters at end of Jan- 2016), and total screens to 3,573 (2,617 at end of Jan-2016) till Jan-2017.
